This report is to seek approval of the Environmental Health Service Plan 2024/25. The plan sets out the likely demands on both the ‘food hygiene’ and ‘occupational health and safety’ functions to be undertaken by Environmental Health in2024/25. The plan details how the team will use the allocated resources (both financial and staffing) to meet these demands.

06/06/2024 - Assignment of access rights over land off North Road, Hertford ref: 2687    Recommendations Approved

A Deed of Easement has previously been issued to the owner of 143 North Road, Hertford permitting access rights over the adjacent access road owned by EHC. The Deed includes any successors in title but also requires any new owner to enter into a direct Deed of Covenant with EHC.

06/06/2024 - Sub-letting of Plot 5S, Warrenwood Industrial Estate, Stapleford ref: 2688    Recommendations Approved

The tenant may sublet part of the premises subject to obtaining formal written consent from the landlord (EHC). The proposed subletting is of a small part of the premises at a rent exceeding the passing rent and for a term of only 5 years. The sub-lease will be contracted out of ss24-28 Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. The headlease term runs until 2095.

Council meeting 18th January resolved that the up to £287,000 from UKSPF and up to £236,421 from RPF be allocated to business support and that decisions on spending
be delegated to the Head of Communications, Strategy and Policy acting in consultation with the Executive Member for Planning and Growth.
