Councillor Redfern proposed and Councillor Connolly seconded, a motion that Councillor Deffley be appointed Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee for the meeting.

RESOLVED – that Councillor Deffley be appointed Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee for the meeting.

A summary of the procedure to be followed during consideration of item 7 is attached.

The Chair drew the hearing’s attention to the Summary of Procedure which was included in the agenda pack at pages 6 – 8.

To move that under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting during discussion of item 7 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the said Act of the following description:

1.  “ Information relating to an individual”.

Councillor Deffley proposed, and Councillor Connolly seconded, a motion to exclude the press and public during the discussion of Agenda Item 7, on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

1.           Information relating to an individual.

After being put to the Sub-Committee and a vote taken, the motion was declared CARRIED.

RESOLVED – that pursuant to Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded during consideration of the business referred to in Minute 30 on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the said Act.

To consider such other business as, in the opinion of the Chairman of the meeting, is of sufficient urgency to warrant consideration and is not likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information.
