Purpose:

In Council meeting 18th January 2023 Council resolved that the following amounts from the East Herts UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and the Rural Prosperity Fund (RPF) be agreed:

up to £630,000 allocated from the UKSPF and up to £236,421 from the RPF for
delivery of town and village centre improvements and that

Town and village centre objectives be delegated to the Head of Communications,
Strategy and Policy acting in consultation with the Executive Member for Planning and
Growth

Decision:

That the following amounts, totalling £101,574, are allocated as grant payments:

- £13,564 to Bishop’s Stortford Town Council as a contribution to provision of electric on town centre street furniture
- £20,000 to Hunsdon Parish Council as a contribution towards general improvements to the village centre
- £13,200 to Little Hadham Parish Council as a contribution towards general improvements across the hamlets
- £45,000 to Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall Trust as a contribution towards the refurbishment of Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall
- £9,810 to Stanstead Abbots Parish Council as a contribution towards improving the Meadow’s area
