East and North Herts District Councils are
embarking on a new tender for the shared waste contract. In order
to protect the interests of both parties and clarify roles and
responsibilities an updated interim agreement (now known as the
Collaborative Agreement) has been developed for the duration of the
procurement period. This document has now been completed with
contributions from a number of officers.
To approve/sign the Collaboration Agreement
with North Herts District Council for the Shared Waste Service
contract procurement
Option 1 - extend the current Inter Authority
Agreement (IAA). Given the clear separation between current working
arrangements for day to day services and the additional duties
required for the procurement process the legal advice suggested a
separate collaboration agreement was the best course of
action.
