Decision Maker: Head of Housing and Health
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
At its meeting of 18th October 2023, Council
approved the council's
Community Grants Policy and Priorities. The council's 2024/25
budget approved by Council on 28th February 2024 included an
allocation of £40,000 for community grants in 2024/25.
Following a call for bids which saw the £40,000 pot being
oversubscribed, assessment of the bids using the published scoring
criteria has led to 15 successful applications which will share in
the £40,000 available.
The Head of Housing and Health is making this decision under
authority delegated at paragraph 10.16.28 of the council’s
Constitution to ‘devise and administer arrangements for
distributing grants to improve the health and wellbeing of local
people’. The Executive Member for Communities has been
consulted as part of the decision-making process.
