Decision Maker: Head of Housing and Health

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Purpose:

The works at three village halls have been identified in decarbonisation assessments conducted by Utility Aid, funded by UKSPF monies, and will contribute to lowering the carbon emissions of the halls.

Decision:

Fund grants from UKSPF monies for three village halls to contribute to carbon reduction works as identified in decarbonisation plans previously supported by UKSPF-funded carbon reduction assessments. The grants being:
-Meesden Village Hall LEDs and Heat Recovery- £3,753.00
-Braughing Village Hall Infrared Panels - £11,601.30
-Buntingford Seth Ward Hall Infrared Panels - £17,674.99

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - Not fund all or some of the works. NOT RECOMMENDED because the proposed works will lead to evidence-based carbon reductions in support of the UKSPF outcomes and the council’s Climate Change Strategy.
Option 2 - Fund the proposed measures as per the justification provided.
