The Council granted a 250 year ground lease in
2007 to the Tenant for Jackson Square shopping centre. The Tenant
has requested consent from the Council as Landlord to carry out
alterations to the internal layout and façade of the
building. The proposed works have been granted planning consent.
The Council can request further information or amendments to the
proposals but cannot unreasonably withheld consent. The Tenant will
pay the reasonable costs that the council incurs in providing
consent.
The Head of Strategic Finance and Property,
acting under delegated authority in paragraph 10.13.16 of Section
10 of the Constitution, has decided to approve the grant of a
licence giving consent to the Tenant to carry out alterations to
Jackson Square Shopping Centre, Bishop’s Stortford.
