The tenant has requested consent to extend
their building. Under the terms of the lease the landlord may not
unreasonably withhold consent for alterations. We do not see any
reason to object to the tenant’s request.
The Head of Strategic Finance and Property has
decided to give consent by way of a Licence to Alter to the tenant
to extend the existing building.
Option 1 - Grant consent under a Licence to
Alter
Option 2 - Refuse consent which would result in a legal challenge
for unreasonably withholding consent.
